Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What does the price of the 3-Day Pass include?
A: The 3-Day Pass includes all classes and presentations on Friday and Saturday; the pitch fest on Sunday to casting directors, agents, studios, and producers; and the wine reception on Friday evening - March 26th.

Q: Do you sell day passes?
A: Yes, we are selling a Friday day pass and Saturday day pass for $149 and a Sunday day pass for $199.

Q: Should I buy my ticket now or wait until the last minute?
A: We strongly recommend you reserve your ticket now for two important reasons. First, is that you receive a generous registration discount. The second, is that seating is limited and is strictly on a first come - first serve basis. Even if we’d like to, we physically cannot add more spots once the event is sold out.

Q: Can I pick and choose what presentations and classes I want to attend?
A: Absolutely.

Q: Is it still worth it if I can only attend one or two days?
A: Absolutely. We know that not everyone will not be able to make all three days. But even one day of any of the events makes the price of the day pass worth it: Presentations from top industry guru’s, academy-award winners, and an entire day of pitching to top Hollywood studios and North Bay Casting companies – where else can you find that?

Q: Can my friend or significant other come and attend the expo?
A: Of course! As long as he or she purchases a ticket.

Q: My friend or significant other wants to come with me, but doesn’t want to attend the expo. Is there something for him or her to do while I attend the event?
A: Yes. Napa is one of the top travel destinations in the United States. Rolling vineyards, 1,000+ fabulous wineries, world-famous restaurants, picturesque sightseeing, numerous PGA golf courses, and a multitude of shopping opportunities are just a few of the options available to guests visiting Napa.

Q: Is there a special discount rate available for the Silverado Resort and Spa?
A: Yes. Just reserve your room with the hotel’s reservation desk and use the following promotional code: NCSWE. For further information, visit our Silverado Resort page.

Q: What is the Pitch Fest?
A: The Pitch Fest provides an opportunity to establish contact with the decision makers of the television and film industry. We’ll have two tracks at the Pitch Fest, one for actors and one for writers, producers, or directors who have a script or movie to promote.

Q: What are the Pitch Fest hours?
A: The Pitch Fest runs from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM with a break from 11:50 -1:30 PM for lunch.

Q: How does the Pitch Fest work?
A: Pitch Fest participants may line up beginning at 8:30 AM by the ballroom. At 9:00, you will enter a large room where companies accepting pitches will be represented at different tables. Lines will be formed for each company and you will line up to pitch to a company of your choice. A bell rings and the first person in line will sit down and take five minutes to pitch. At the end of five minutes, a bell rings again and their meeting ends. The next person in line will then take the seat. Once you’ve finished a pitch, you can go wait in line to pitch to the next company of your choice, and so on. In rare circumstances, a company may opt to speak with a pitch participant beyond five minutes. Please note that pitch participants can’t make this call, only the companies/agents can decide to extend beyond five minutes.

Q: How many pitches can I make?
A: There is no limit to how many pitches you can make. Some lines may be longer than others, so it’s important to decide which pitches are most important to you.

Q: Can I pitch to the same company twice?
A: Yes, if you have something different to pitch the second time. Please don’t pitch the same project to a company that didn’t express interest the first time they heard it.
